The luzzuis a traditional Maltese fishing boat. They are brightly painted in shades of yellow, red, green and blue, and the bow is normally pointed with a pair of eyes. These eyes may be the modern survival of an ancient Phoenician custom they are sometimes referred to as the of eye of Osiris.These gondola types of boats are used by fishermen to capture 'lampuki', a Mediterranean fish mostly caught between August and December
